This is my first In My Mailbox post and I am very excited to be sharing with everyone the books that have most recently come into my possession. This is actually going to cover the last two weeks of my book buying life.
The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti
I actually bought this book mostly on a whim. I was browsing the Barnes and Noble website when I stumbled across it and noticed they had a hardcover copy in their bargain bin and I couldn’t pass it up! I loved the cover and the synopsis sounded like something I might like, not to mention it’s supposed to take place in New England.
I’ve been seeing this book at most of the book blogs I frequently go to and I must say that it has me intrigued.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey
My father called my about this one and it sounded a great deal like ‘Sucker Punch,’ a movie which I had recently watched and enjoyed, so I thought I’d give this one a try. I know the book came before the movie and even has a movie of it’s own (somebody already told me the ending of the movie, but I wonder if it is the same as the book).
Lovers’ Legend: The Gay Greek Myths by Andrew Calimach
When I was browsing around for my Greek mythology books I stumbled upon this one. I have already read it and thought it was a decent book of myths, but a lot of the book focuses on a conversation, which I believe is from a play, between a few people on whether the love of women or men is better. It was sometimes a tedious read due to that, yet the author’s take on the myths themselves was interesting and I will go back and read a few of them.
A Tale Dark and Grimm by Adam Gidwitz
Wow, I loved this book! You can probably see, thanks to this picture, my fingerprints all over the front cover, one of my professor’s bled on it as well, and that is because I can’t help but pick this book up on a frequent basis. Just look at how lovely that cover is! The book its self is a retelling of Hansel and Gretel as they travel through a few other of the Grimm’s fairy tales and it is A-W-E-S-O-M-E, AWESOME!
I was first attracted to this book because of the absolutely gorgeous cover, but after reading so many great things about it I knew I had to have it.
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente
Phew, that title is such a mouthful! I’m currently reading this one and I love it when people ask me what I am reading just so I can say it. So far I am really enjoying this book.
Out of all the books I have bought in the past two weeks this is the one I was most thrilled about! I can hardly wait to sink my teeth (or should I say eyes?) into it! Just look at how action-packed the cover is alone! A sense of adventure and excitement courses through my veins every time I so much as glance at it.
The book trailer for this one completely won me over. It’s amazing!

Inconceivable Book Reviews 
Lots of awesome books this week! Liesl & Po, Witch Eyes and the Fairyland book are a few I’ve been looking forward to reading. The hardcover of Liesl & Po does look gorgeous. And Icefall does look very exciting.

The cover for Liesl & Po is perhaps the most beautiful hardcover book I have ever come across. Not only is the dust jacket easy on the eyes, but if you remove it there is just as gorgeous art underneath.
